Founded in 1893 was originally a 9-hole course and extended to 18-holes in 1920, the latest redesign was undertaken by Pat Ruddy & Tom Craddock resulting in the splendid 18-hole Parkland course that is here today.

The course measures 6,173 yards with a Par 71 and standard scratch 70 off the men's tees, remarkably the course record is 61 but when one considers it was set by Paddy Gribben in 1998 when playing off +3 it is understandable. Warrenpoint has produced some of the countries most famous golfers, with Ronan Rafferty and Paddy Gribben both playing Walker Cup before joining the professional ranks. Alison Coffey has represented Europe and Ireland several times. Warrenpoint has also achieved one of the most remarkable records in Irish Golf in 1987 they captured 4 of the 5 All-Ireland Bulmers Cups & Shield Finals at Clandeboye.
