Courtown golf club Wexford
Courtown Golf Course
Although its boundaries come within 100 metres of the sea, Courtown is actually a parkland course.
Courtown Golf Club is a challenging & mature parkland golf course located 5 mins from Gorey and 50 minutes from Dublin. Our hidden gem is a must play.
Courtown Golf Club is a picturesque and challenging golf course located 5 km from the North Wexford town of Gorey only an hour from South Dublin. Founded in 1936 the golf course was upgraded to 18 holes in 1974. It was built on a piece of land that was once part of the old Courtown estate. With it’s panoramic views of the South Irish Sea and the beautiful North Wexford coast it provides a delightful distraction to many a bad round.
Courtown is a mature parkland course, par 71 and almost 6000 metres in length. Every fairway is lined to reward the accurate golfer and punish the wayward.
The Pro Shop located near the 1st tee box stocks a large variety of the top names in golf and is run by resident I.P.G.A. professionals Paul Morris and James Roche.
In addition Courtown is serviced by a comfortable and inviting clubhouse.
We hope that you will enjoy your trip to Courtown!

The 3rd match Jarlath Beagan with Gary Beagan became the decider as to where the coveted green pennant would go when it went all the way to the 22nd hole before John Russell with Kieran Walsh delivered the crucial point for Letterkenny. The penultimate match of Gerry Finnerty with Fran Lawlor against Ed Margey with Brendan Roache went to the Donegal pair and with it the pennant. The bottom match of Ciaran Conneely with Paul O'Kane against Kenny King with Shane Sweeney went down to the 20th-hole before the point was clinched by Courtown, alas too late.
