This is an 18-hole championship course, designed by, Ryder Cup Hero Christy O’Connor Junior, it has proved most enjoyable and challenging to golfers of all abilities.

Water comes into play on seven holes and the course has two unique historic "Fairy Forts" providing an unusual feature.

The clubhouse is open each day from 8am until 12-midnight. Full Irish Breakfast is available from 10am and bar food is served all day. The Glashanure Restaurant has gained a reputation for superb food and is open from 12.30pm right through to 9.30pm used by golfers and public alike. The panoramic views from both the restaurant and bar add that little bit extra.

Lee Valley was voted the No. 99-ranked golf course in Ireland, by "Golf Digest Ireland" in 2009.

The Ladies of Lee Valley Golf Club were Runners-Up in the All-Ireland Final of the Irish Women’s Minor Cup at Westport Golf Club on Friday 22th September 2023 when they went down to Ardee Golf Club by 3-matches to 2-matches.
In the top match Eimear Quaid lost her match by the minimum against Margaret Malone, she was followed by Emma O’Halloran who recorded a 2 and 1 win against Eileen Penrose, next on the tee Kris Hayes had a 1-hole win against Patricia Smyth, in the penultimate match Dinah O’Mahony lost her match by 3 and 2 against Annette Durnin and in the bottom match Josephine Martin went up the 19th before relinquishing the point and the Green Pennant against Angela Hand.
They met the Ladies from Rockmount Golf Club in the All-Ireland Semi-Final the previous day and recorded a 3½-matches to 1½-matches win against the Co. Down Club.
They were led out by Eimear Quaid who lost her match by 6 and 5 against Alexandria Poole, she was followed by Emma O’Halloran who won her match by 4 and 3, next on the tee was Kris Hayes who halved her match against Karen Gowdy when called-in, in the penultimate match Dinah O’Mahony had a very comfortable 7 and 6 win against Noreen O’Hare and in the bottom match Josephine Martin had a 5 and 4 win against Alice Tang.
The Ladies of Lee Valley Golf Club won the Quarter Finals of the Women’s Minor Cup on Saturday 2st September 2023 at Callan Golf Club when they beat Greystones Golf Club by 4-matches to 1-match.
They were led out by Eimear  Quaid who won her match against Helen Creedon by 3 and 1, she was followed by Emma O'Halloran against Joyce Kirwan the match was declared as halved when called-in, next on the tee was Kris Hayes  who had a 3 and 2 win against Patricia  Moore, in the penultimate match Marie Lynch had a confortable 5 and 3 win against Áine O'Rourke and the bottom match of Dinah O'Mahony against Bernadette McGowan was halved when called-in.
The Ladies of Lee Valley Golf Club won the Final of East Munster Women’s Minor Cup on Saturday 29th July 2023 at Kinsale Golf Club when they beat Youghal Golf Club by 3-matches to 2-matchs.

Lee Valley Golf Club reached the All-Quarter-Finals of the Irish Senior Cup at Dun Laoghaire Golf Club on Saturday 9th September 2023 when they went down to Castle Golf Club by 4-matches to 1-matche.
They were led out by John O'Neill who lost his match against Peter McKeever by 6 and 5, he was followed by Ben Murray who went down by 3 and 2 against Ross McKeever, the next two matches of Keelan McCarthy against Jack Walsh and Ian Bohane against Alex Gleeson were halved and the bottom match of Jason Galway against Rob Moran went 6 and 5 to the Rathfarnham Club.
Castle went on and won the green pennant the following day against Naas Golf Club.
Lee Valley Golf Club won the Final of East Munster Irish Senior Cup on Sunday 9th July 2023 at Lee Valley Golf Club when they beat Douglas Golf Club by 3½-matches to 1½-matchs.

Lee Valley Golf Club qualified for the Quarter-Finals of the All-Ireland of the Irish Senior Cup at Tramore Golf Club on Saturday 3rd September 2022.

They were drawn against Cushendall Golf Club and lost out by 3½-matches to 1½-matches.
They were led out by Keelan McCarthy who won his match by 2 and 1 against David Burns, he was followed by James Murphy against Cathal MacCanna and lost out by 3 and 2, next on the tee was Ian Bohane who went down by 4 and 2 against Christopher McLaughlin, in the penultimate match Darren Hourihan lost his match against Ronan McCambridge by 4 and 3 and the bottom match of Jason Galway against Alistair McGregor was halved when called-in.    

The Ladies of Lee Valley Golf Club won the All-Ireland Final of the Minor Cup at Malone Golf Club when they beat Connaught Champions Mountbelley Golf Club by 4-matches to 1-match on Friday 29th September 2017.
They won the Munster Final when they beat Tipperary Golf Club by 3-matches to 2-matches at Cahir Park Golf Club on Saturday 2nd September. They were lead out by Rosemary Driscoll who beat Michelle Crowe by 3 and 2, she was followed by Deirdre Lee who lost out to Libby Ryan by 1-hole, next on the tee was Helen Geoff who recorded a 1-hole win over Liz Higgins, in the penultimate match Breda O'Callaghan beat Kathleen O’Neill by 3 and 2, in the bottom match Yvonne Barrett lost out to Maire O’Neill by 4 and 3.
They made the long journey to Malone Golf Club to participate in the All-Ireland Deciders and were drawn against Ulster Champions Donaghadee Golf Club in the All-Ireland Semi-Final on Thursday 28th September and recorded a 3-matches to 2-matches win against the Co. Down Team.
They were lead out again by Rosemary Driscoll who lost her match against Fiona McGhee by 5 and 3, she was followed by Deirdre Lee who also her match against Brooke Stranaghan by 2 and 1, next on the tee was Jane O’Neill who recorded a very comfortable 8 and 7 win over I. Heron, in the penultimate match Breda O'Callaghan beat Helen Dunbar by 4 and 3 and in the bottom match Helen Gough clinched their place in the All-Ireland Final the following day with a 1-hole win over Janet Adams.
They met Connacht Champions Mountbellew in the All-Ireland Decider and were yet again lead out by Rosemary Driscoll who had a 2 and 1 win over Katie Coleman, next on the tee was Deirdre Lee who went up the 19th before securing the point against Kathleen Raftery, the next match was halved when Jane O’Neill against Geraldine Coyne was called in, in the penultimate match Breda O'Callaghan beat Patricia Burke by 2 and 1 and with it the Green Pennant, the bottom match of Helen Gough against Rose Devaney was declared a halve when called-in.      

The Ladies of Lee Valley Golf Club won the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship at Courtown Golf Club in 2012 when the team was Miriam Quaid, Helen Hodson, Ann O’Flynn, Roisin Murry, Jenny Lynch, Sandra Browne and Phyllis O’Sullivan, they were captained by Angela Corcoran.

The Ladies of Lee Valley Golf Club won the Munster Final of the AA-Insurance Minor Cup in 2008 they made the journey to Limerick Golf Club to compete in the National deciders; where they met Mid-Leinster Champions Carlow Golf Club in the All-Ireland Semi-Final, they lost by 3½ matches to 1½ matches in a nail-biting encounter, first on the tee was Yvonne Barrett (24) who lost her match by 1-hole against Phyll Farrell (23), she was followed by Margaret Ahern (24) who went all the way to the 19th-hole before conceding the point against Áine O'Shea (24), next up was Kitty O'Sullivan (25) who had a 1-hole win over Mary Farrell (26), the penultimate match of Sandra Cooke (25) also went to the 19th before she lost out to Pat McArdle (28) the bottom match of Gobnait Ni Luasaigh (26) was halved against Liz Whelan (28).   

The Ladies of Lee Valley Golf Club won the Munster Final of the AA-Insurance ILGU Inter-Club Challenge Cup in 2007 they made the journey to Athlone Golf Club to compete in the National deciders; where they met Connaught Champions Galway Bay Golf Club the eventual green pennant winners in the All-Ireland Quarter-Final and lost out by 3 matches to 2-matches.

They were led by Finola McSweeney who had a 1-hole win over Christina Mulryan, she was followed by Gobnait NiLuasaigh who lost her match by 3 and 2 against Nano Gough, she was followed by Sheila Donovan who had a 2-hole lose to Clare Noonan beat, in the penultimate match Phil O'Byrne won her match against Hilary Power by 4 and 2, in the bottom match Deirdre Mahony lost her match by 5 and 4 against Jacinta Quinn.

Lee Valley Golf Club won the Cork Regional Final of the Pierce Purcell Shield in 1994, when the team was, Tim Ellard, Phil Cooney, Jim O'Callaghan, John Philpott, Dan Kelly Jnr., Joe O'Grady, Charlie Lynch, Pat Cavanagh, Billy O'Keeffe, Willie Hammond, John Keating, Con O'Brien, Jim Coughlin and John Sheehan, they were managed by Donal Kiely.

They got to the Semi-Finals of the Munster Barton Shield at Lahinch Golf Club in 2002, when the team was Pat Power, Pat King, Keith Crowley and Steven Hayes, they were managed by Brian Dolan.

They won the Senior West Cork Shield in 1995, when the team was, Tim Ellard, Jim O'Callaghan, Noel O'Connell, Pat O'Leary, Finbarr Higgins, John Burke, Don O'Carroll, Jim Coughlan, Martin Hackett, Phil Cooney and Pat Power, they were managed by Redmond Tobin.

They won the McEvoy Shield in 1995, when the team was, Michael O'Leary, Jerry Byrne Snr., Roy McSweeney, Jerry Byrne Jnr., Jim Barrett, Tom Power, Johnny O'Connell, Denis O'Neill, Don Noonan, Paddy O'Shea, Greg McSweeney and Brendan Meagan, they were managed by Godfrey Dunlea.

They won the West Cork Clubs Senior Shield in 2001, when the team was Stephen Hayes, Brian Donlon, Sean Barry, Brian McCarthy, Keath Crowley, John Philpott, Alan Cashman, Vincent Drinan, Phil Cooney, Liam Power, Martin Hackett, Pat King, Bertie Daly, Conor Crowley and Simon O'Donoghue, they were managed by Pat Power,

They won the The Michael Minihan Shield in 2000 and 2001, when the team was Robert Kearney, Joe O'Grady, Eamonn O'Mahony, Gerry Byrne, Jerry Keohane, Stan Jermys, Pat Allen and Roger McSweeney, they were managed by Tom Deering and Godfery Dunlea.

The Ladies of Lee Valley Golf Club won the ILGU Munster Cup in 2000, with Teresa Down, Muriel O'Riordan and Elmarie Long. They won the West Cork Shield in 2001, when the team was, Phyllis O'Sullivan, Anna Alan, Ettie Kearney, Mary Callaghan, Marie Lynch, Shelley Murray, Eileen G. O'Mahony, Noreen Crowley, Ann Sheehan, Elmarie Long, Joan Buckley, Teresa Down, Shella O'Leary and Muriel O'Riordan, they were managed by Breda Quald.

K. Crowley represented Ireland at international Youths level in 2004 playing 2-matches, won 0-matches and lost 2-matches accumulating 0-points. He represented Munster as a Senior Interprovincial in 2005 playing 6-times won 1-match and lost 5-matches accumulating 2-points. He represented Munster at Youths’ Interprovincial level in 2005 playing 6-times won 2-matches halved two and lost 2-matches accumulating 6-points;
