Glengarriff Golf Course

Glengarriff Club Crest

This is truly a club with a view! Glengarriff’s nine holes are in one of the loveliest settings in Ireland, with scenic views abounding – the one from the fifth tee is exceptionally beautiful.
The grassy lane between the second and third holes is part of the historic ancient road between Adrigole and Bantry which also comes up by the trees which run across the course near the eight and ninth holes.
The Clubhouse was opened in 1989 by the Club’s Honorary President, Dr Maureen O’Hara-Blair, the famous film star. Visitors are always welcome, and generally may play all day.
The name comes from “An Gleann Garbh” – the rugged glen – which is derived from the rugged beauty of the mountains and wooded valleys surrounding the village. Magnificent views of the Caha Mountains and the bulk of Sugarloaf can be seen from the numerous viewpoints along the roads which hug the coastline or wind along the steep sided valleys.

Glengarriff Golf Club was founded in 1934 it is a very picturesque 9-hole Parkland situated in this one of the most beautiful parts of West Cork. It has many testing and challenging holes none more so than the 9th and 18th at 373 metres will test the very best of golfers.

Glengarriff has a fine clubhouse where a warm welcome is extended to the visitor.
