French cuisine, using the best of West Kerry produce.
The Skipper restaurant, in Ventry village on the Dingle Peninsula, is owned and run by chef Paddy Chauvet, known locally as "Paddy the Frenchman".
The Skipper provides a relaxed eating experience and excellent, fresh local produce at the keenest prices you will find anywhere in West Kerry. Locally caught fish is the house speciality and by local we mean local. The lobster served in the Skipper is landed 100 metres away on Ventry pier. It is a place where you never know who you might meet.
“French cooking and charming service at realistic prices may not be what you’d expect to find in this remote area, but hungry visitors doing the scenic Slea Head drive west of Dingle town should be pleasantly surprised to happen on Paddy Chauvet’s roadside seafood restaurant”
