We found Jack Duggan's Bar on our way to our way to Dingle to play a round of golf while on vacation. We didn't have dinner while there and stopped just for a pint. It was exactly what we expected of an Irish Pub. The manager and patrons were very friendly and the Guinness tasted great. This became "our" pub for the next three days of our stay. Wished we could have stopped on the way back to the airport but time was short. We plan to stop for a few on our next visit.

Being English of Irish stock and having lived in Sydney for 6 years, I noticed this pub as we drove through Castlemaine on our way around the Ring of Kerry. I made sure I detoured back through and visited it yesterday (16/08/2017). Because I was driving, I only had one pint but we were made very welcome by Brian behind the bar. Hard to judge on such a short visit. However, my initial feelings were very positive.
